Ethanol Blended Gasoline
Our ethanol blended gasoline has been licensed by Environment Canada to carry the Ecologo™. designating them as Environmental Choice Products. These gasoline blends ease the burden on the environment by reducing emissions of carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbons. H.D.C.. is proud to offer our customers a renewable resource to protect our environment into the new millennium. Try it and make a personal difference. With the threat of global warming and energy crisis in today's environment the need for clean, "green" fuels is quickly becoming a necessity. Ethanol is an environmentally friendly fuel, and with a 10% blend of ethanol with no-lead gas it is an approved fuel in Canada. Ethanol is included in all engine warranties that require no-lead gasoline including motorboats, snowmobiles, lawnmowers, chain saws etc. Most importantly, the millions of automobiles on the road today can utilize this improved fuel. Ethanol is a liquid alcohol that is manufactured by the fermentation of grains such as corn, wheat and barley. It is a high-octane fuel with high oxygen content and when blended properly in gasoline produces a cleaner and more complete combustion. The effect of adding ethanol to gasoline on environmental quality includes reducing air toxins, reduced carbon monoxide, reduced ozone formation, and the potential to reduce net carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere. As part of our commitment to our future generations Hensall District Cooperative promotes and provides ethanol blended gasoline made from our Ontario corn producers. This environmentally friendly product can be provided to you at the farm/commercial level and also at our Exeter Gas Bar and Hensall Card-lock locations. Ethanol is competitively priced with our no-lead gasoline and using ethanol eliminates the need to use gas-line antifreeze as it prevents all those winter gas line and carburetor freeze ups. Call us today at 1-800-265-5190 and do your part in preserving our atmosphere and non-renewable fossil fuels for generations to follow. A little conservation by all goes along way. |
